Absolutely. You can purchase the scissors outright and do not need to sign up for a subscription if you don’t wish to.

2. What are the benefits of a subscription?
A subscription gives you full control over your salon’s finances. You spread the investment over 24 months, improving cash flow and making it easier to plan business expenses.
After 24 months, you can also upgrade to brand-new scissors or switch to other models—without making a new major investment.
It’s a smooth, modern way to always work with tools in top condition.

3. Are there any downsides to a subscription?
As with all financed solutions, interest and a setup fee apply.
However, for most professionals, the benefits outweigh the costs—you avoid a high upfront payment and gain a predictable monthly expense that’s easier for the business to manage.

4. Is CORE Care Protection required?
No, it’s completely optional. However, CORE Care is strongly recommended if you want to protect your investment.
The protection plan covers damage, drops, and dull blades—situations that can otherwise become costly.
Working without CORE Care is comparable to driving a car without insurance.

5. Can you purchase CORE Care Protection both with a subscription and when buying by invoice?
Yes. CORE Care can be added in both cases and applies under the same terms regardless of payment method.
This gives you full flexibility to choose the option that suits you best.

6. Do you keep the scissors after 24 months of rental leasing?
No. With rental leasing, you do not own the scissors; they are returned for recycling after 24 months.
However, you can easily renew your subscription and receive a brand-new set—always with a favorable offer (see separate terms).
This ensures you always work with tools in top condition and the latest generation of design.

6. Do you keep the scissors after 24 months of rental leasing?
When leasing scissors, a residual value of 10% applies and is paid via a final invoice. Once the residual value has been paid, ownership is transferred and the scissors become yours.

7. How should you think about the finances when subscribing to all scissors? (Note Subscription is only available i Sweden at the moment)
Example:
• Price for six scissors: approx. SEK 1,950/month
• Your hourly rate: approx. SEK 700
• Six clients per day → cost per client: approx. SEK 16

By increasing your treatment price by just SEK 20,
you fully cover the monthly cost of all six CORE scissors.

8. Why does CORE use Japanese VG10 steel?
We’ve chosen Japanese VG10 steel because it’s one of the hardest and highest-performing steels on the market.
It delivers extreme sharpness, long-lasting durability, and reliable performance that meets the demands of daily salon work.

9. Other Japanese brands use Hitachi ATS314 steel. Why doesn’t CORE?
Both Hitachi ATS314 and VG10 are Japanese high-carbon steels of very high quality.We’ve chosen VG10 because it’s harder, retains sharpness exceptionally well, and has properties perfectly suited to CORE’s advanced design and sharpening process.

10. Should CORE scissors be sharpened?
The long answer:
We do not recommend sharpening CORE scissors. In our experience, no sharpening—Japanese or traditional—matches the original factory edge. In many cases, sharpening can permanently compromise the scissors’ performance.
Instead, we recommend CORE Care Protection, where you can receive a brand-new scissor at a very favorable cost if something happens.
